PSF Job Titles (with responsibilities)
President
- Plans the agenda for the next Board meeting and provides secretary with a copy one week before the next meeting
- Leads each Board meeting, keeping the meetings to a 2 hour maximum unless the Board as a whole OKs a longer meeting
- Researches what other parent groups accomplish for their parents and school
- Plans or delegates the planning of the Summer Board Retreat
- Writes a thank you note to all parent volunteers for PSF fundraisers and Events
- Leads in creating the calendar for Board and General Meetings for the upcoming school year in cooperation with Administration
- Arranges for the meeting place for the monthly Board meetings
Vice President
- Takes the place of the President in his/her absence
- Leads the Helping Hands ministry by:
- Developing a system for finding out who might need meals
- Finding volunteers to prepare meals
- Organizing a schedule for meal preparation for a needy school family
- Arranging for deliver of the meals
- Notifies Board of any school families needing special help
- "Dreams" of new ways to develop fellowship among our school families
Program Chairperson
- Schedules speakers for the General Meetings
- Creates the program schedule for each General Meeting
- Contact administrator for topic to be discussed with parents
- Creates the physical program for the evening
Hospitality Chairperson
- Arranges for the refreshments for General Meetings
- Sets up and cleans up refreshments at each General Meeting
- Gives necessary reimbursement information to Treasurer in a timely manner
Spiritual Opportunities Chairperson
- Organizes parent Bible studies
- Organizes prayer opportunities for parents
- Liaison between PSF and Moms-in-Touch
- "Dream" of new ways to foster spiritual growth within our school
- Open each Board Meeting and General Meeting with a Devotional and prayer
Secretary
- Notifies Board members of upcoming meetings
- Sends agenda to Board members one week before Board meetings
- Takes minutes at all Board and General Meetings
- E-mails all meeting minutes to Board members one week prior to Board Meetings
- Puts all necessary articles into the school weekly newsletter
- Documents events with photos and uses them to maintain a PSF historical record of events each school year
Treasurer
- Maintains all financial records for PSF
- Makes a monthly written financial report to the Board indicating monies earned by project and monies used by project
- Provides all necessary paperwork to school accounting department within 15 days of a meeting or an event
